What is AccuTite™ Skin Tightening?

Say goodbye to ageing eyes with AccuTite™ Skin Tightening, the premium skin-tightening and fat-melting treatment, used for revitalising eyelids and under-eye areas. Whether your concern is wrinkles, eye-bags, sagging eyebrows, or droopy eyelids, AccuTite™ can help you regain your confidence without surgery.

AccuTite™ uses ground-breaking Radio Frequency (RF) technology to simultaneously tighten sagging skin and melt fat, which can contribute to such problems as eye-bags. The AccuTite™ device itself is so tiny, it offers ultimate precision for addressing these otherwise delicate and difficult-to-access areas. In some cases, the treatment may be considered for other small areas of the face or body too, such as around the mouth.

There is no surgery and no scars. Downtime is minimal and results are long-lasting. Find out today whether AccuTite™ can help you achieve your aesthetic goals.

How does it work?

As skin matures, its production of collagen and elastin slows down. Over time, skin loses its elasticity and sags. The eye area, also known is the “periorbital area”, is very susceptible to showing the effects of ageing. This is primarily because the skin in this area is very thin. In addition, as the tissues in this area weaken, fat can creep into the under-eye area causing puffiness and eye-bags.

The AccuTite™ device provides controlled RadioFrequency (RF) energy into the skin tissue, which stimulates the production of collagen and liquefies fatty deposits. The innovative AccuTite™ device achieves and maintains the most appropriate temperatures needed to remodel collagen and reverse the effects of ageing. The device is also incredibly small, enabling the doctor to safely access small, tricky and delicate areas. As such, it delivers less energy per session compared to our other RF treatments, such as FaceTite. Over time, skin becomes tighter and stronger.

Note that AccuTite™ Skin Tightening can, in some cases, be used on other small areas of the face or body where extra precision is required. Your doctor will always advise you of your available options.

Who is suitable for this AccuTite™ Skin Tightening?

Your suitability for AccuTite™ Skin Tightening will be discussed with you during your no-obligation consultation with our qualified doctor. It is our duty to help you decide upon the best solution for your own goals and needs.

In addition, you may also like to consider our other RadioFrequency treatments, which use the same technology:

FaceTite™ – this is similar to AccuTite™ but primarily for larger areas in the mid to lower face regions, and the chin and neck.
BodyTite Body Contouring – again this is similar, but for skin tightening and fat reduction in areas of the body.
Morpheus8 Skin Remodelling – this is a skin tightening treatment that combines micro-needling with RF energy for anti-ageing benefits, suitable for face and body.

How long does AccuTite™ Skin Tightening take to work?

You should notice improvements in the following days after your AccuTite™ treatment. You may even notice them right away. However, with AccuTite™, the skin will continue to become smoother and tighter over the subsequent weeks and months while new collagen is produced. Peak results can usually be seen at between three to six months. Everyone is different.

Results are typically very long-lasting with AccuTite™ Skin Tightening.

How long are AccuTite™ sessions?

Owing to the size of the treated areas, AccuTite™ Skin Tightening sessions are short, usually around 30 minutes.

What is the downtime with AccuTite™?

AccuTite™ Skin Tightening procedures are minimally invasive. However, you will likely experience some redness, bruising and/or swelling in the treated area. The swelling in the morning after is likely to be especially prominent, and the area of treatment will also feel quite tender. The swelling should start to ease throughout the week, and the bruising should also gradually fade. Note however that some swelling can persist for up to four weeks.

Our doctor will discuss with you the necessary AccuTite™ aftercare you should follow. This may differ depending on the area you have had treated. Your progress from AccuTite™ Skin Tightening will also be monitored in a follow-up appointment. Please note you should always contact us if you have any concerns or questions.

Please refer to the Aftercare tab further down the page for more information about what to expect after treatment.

How many AccuTite™ treatments are needed?

How many AccuTite™ treatments you require will depend on your own goals and needs. In many cases, one AccuTite™ session will be enough. Your doctor will discuss your situation with you ahead of any treatment.

Note that AccuTite™ can also be combined with other treatments as part of a more specialised plan for your own goals. Again, this will be discussed with you during your initial consultation and free reviews.

Does AccuTite™ hurt?

There is only minor discomfort with AccuTite™ Skin Tightening. Local anaesthetic is used to make procedures as comfortable as possible. The treated area may be sore and tender for up to several weeks after treatment.

General Care:

1. There is no need for antibiotics intake
2. There are no stitches as the wounds are very small. The holes will have sealed by the first day. You can shower/wash your hair straight away.
3. If you need to, you can take routine painkillers (paracetamol but NOT IBUPROFEN or other Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory drugs) but this is rarely necessary.

The First Day and the Day After:

1. Your face will be swollen, and you may notice swelling spreading down.
2. It’s normal to feel very numb for a period of a few hours the first day.
3. Bruising will become more obvious once the anaesthetic wears off and it could last for 2-3 weeks.
4. You will notice skin contraction in the area soon after the procedure.
5. On the ‘morning after’, you may well look worse than you imagined you would! Do not worry. You may look swollen, bruised, and may still feel numb. The area of treatment will feel quite tender.

The First Week:

1. Swelling will reduce but will still be evident by the end of the first week. In some cases swelling can persist for 3-4 weeks.
2. Bruising will appear then start to fade.
3. The ‘dense’ numbness of the first day will resolve but residual numbness will remain and may not recover for a few weeks.
4. The process of skin contraction will continue for over 6 months.

3 to 6 Months:

You may stop noticing any change, but it is happening! Slowly, over the passing months, more collagen and elastin are being formed in the tissues which were heated during your treatment. By 6 months, most of the contraction and the final result will have taken place but there have been reports of continuing contraction and continuing improvement for up to 18 months.

It is important to adhere to the aftercare advise to ensure you get the best results from your treatment. Any questions or concerns please contact the clinic.
