We are open and welcome you back!

It feels so good to be back and to be seeing you in our clinics again. Having said that, we made sure to stay connected with all our clients throughout the lockdown, be it via phone, video calls, blogs, social media, e-mails etc. Our procedures are administered by doctors in a clinical, hygienic and safe environment. As a CQC (Care Quality Commission) regulated medical establishment, we are open according to Government advice and we offer medical aesthetic treatments. Please note that we do not accept walk-ins and that consultations are mainly done remotely. Our Medical Director and Medical team assess whether a treatment is necessary and accordingly we can then book you in. When you visit us, you will notice some changes and new protocols as a result of COVID19 guidance, but rest assured that nothing has changed in terms of our eagerness to look after you with our award-winning 5-star customer service. Our team looks forward to seeing you and will, as before, make your visit enjoyable, safe and empowering.

OUR PROTOCOLS

In the process of re-opening after the lockdown, our team has worked very closely with a variety of government and professional bodies to develop and implement robust and practical protocols. These include physical distancing and the use of appropriate PPE for both patients and staff.

As all our clients already know, at Vie Aesthetics, safety and hygiene have always been paramount. This applies to the whole process: from our risk assessment, to the remote consultations set-up; the introduction of a patient co-ordinator role; from the revised communication and guidance for our patients to a precisely re-designed patient journey . We have implemented and are monitoring these protocols and adjustments very carefully, so rest assured that during your visits to Vie Aesthetics you are always in safe hands.

CONSULTATIONS

As part of the re-opening procedures, we have introduced the option for video consultations. We encourage you to book an online consultation and assessment before arranging your clinic visit for your treatment. This allows for ample time to talk to your practitioner and get a detailed treatment plan proposal prior to your booking. This gives you also “cool off ” time to make an informed decision about your treatment. Having the remote consultations means that we do not need to keep the discussion short, in order to limit numbers of patients in the clinic.

The Vie Aesthetics Management and Clinical Staff are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and we have put in place reasonable preventative measures aimed to reduce the spread of COVID-19. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in regard to the following measures:

Please note that for extra safety our appointments are spread out so that meeting other patients is highly unlikely.
Make sure to read the guidance, and fill in the questionnaire we e-mail you prior to your visit.
Allow ample time for your appointment.
Please do not walk into the premises.
You will be asked to answer a safety questionnaire and your temperature will get checked too.
Your patient co-ordinator will look after you during the whole time of your visit.
Your patient co-ordinator will escort you through the clinic, check you in and direct you to your treatment room.
Unfortunately, for the time being we will not be offering you the usual hot beverages, but you are welcome to use our water coolers and the disposable cups.
We will observe social distancing in all areas of the clinic, including the waiting areas.
There are no leaflets and magazines in the waiting areas. Please ask reception for information and brochures.
On your way out and for your payment, you will be still wearing your PPE.
Your patient coordinator will open the door for you and you will be able to dispose of the gloves and mask prior to leaving our premises.

COVID19 VACCINATIONS NOTICE

It is well established in the medical literature that side effects to dermal fillers in the form of nodules and local reactions can occur weeks, months, or even years after the treatment, when our immune system is being challenged.

SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19 infection), as well as the Covid- 19 vaccinations are both highly challenging to our immune system by over- simulating its response. Therefore both (Covid- 19 infection, as well as the vaccine) can lead to complications after filler injections, such as those mentioned above.

So far, generally there is a very low incidence of such cases reported. Your safety, however, is paramount to us and therefore we are advising you the following:

1) Do not have filler injections 2 weeks before your planned vaccination and for 3 weeks after.

2) If you have been infected with Covid- 19, do not have filler injections in the first 3 weeks after you have been symptom free.

3) If you develop any symptoms after filler injections please get in touch with our clinics immediately. Our doctors will advise you further. As medical practitioners, our Doctors are able to prescribe you the necessary medication if required.

The above advice concerns dermal fillers only. There is no evidence so far to suggest that other medical aesthetic treatments (such as Botulinum Toxin and others) cause complications after Covid vaccination, or after infection with SARS-CoV-2.
