How does BodyTite™ for Men work?

BodyTite™ for Men is a safe, non-surgical body contouring procedure that works by liquefying fat cells in targeted areas of the body. For this, it uses controlled Radio Frequency (RF) energy that gets deep into the skin’s tissue. Once liquefied, the unwanted fat is safely drained through a tiny cannula.

The advanced RF energy emitted by BodyTite™ also heats the soft tissue, which stimulates the production of collagen fibres in your skin. Collagen is what makes our skin strong, smooth and supple. Over time, increased collagen tightens your skin in the treated area. This eliminates the risk of sagging, which often occurs when weight is lost. BodyTite™ for Men really is a ground-breaking procedure that not only gets rid of pockets of localised fat, but also improves your skin laxity!

Can BodyTite™ for Men help me lose weight?

No, BodyTite™ is a body contouring medical treatment that tackles pockets of fat in specific parts of the body. It does not help you lose overall weight and should NOT be considered as an alternative to diet or exercise. It is, however, a fantastic non-surgical method for eliminating the stubborn pockets of fat that diet and exercise cannot shift alone. It can also be used to complement a diet or exercise regimen for optimal results. We always recommend a healthy lifestyle for personal wellbeing and to help you maintain the results of your treatment.

What happens during my BodyTite™ for Men treatment?

BodyTite™ sessions are relatively quick with only very minor discomfort. They usually last less than an hour depending on the area being treated. During procedures, our qualified doctor makes a minuscule incision in the treatment area, through which to deliver the RF energy.

The liquefied fat and excess fluids are drained from the body through a tiny cannula (hollow tube). Unlike surgical liposuction, the doctor makes no large incisions, and the procedure is minimally invasive.

How long does BodyTite™ for Men take to work?

During your BodyTite™ for Men session, the unwanted fat is drained so you should see visible improvements right after treatment. Your results continue to improve over the following weeks as new collagen is produced, giving you smoother and firmer skin. Your final outcome typically occurs from between three to six months, although everyone is different. Your doctor will discuss your expectations with you during your initial, comprehensive consultation. Your progress will also be monitored during free reviews.

What is the downtime for BodyTite™ for Men?

Unlike during surgical liposuction, BodyTite™ for Men Body Contouring procedures are minimally invasive – which means FAR LESS downtime with no risk of scarring. After treatment, you may experience some soreness, bruising or swelling. This typically lasts for a few days. Exercise and strenuous physical activities should be avoided for between 10 to 14 days. Our doctor will discuss with you the appropriate aftercare and will monitor your progress in a follow-up appointment. You should always contact us if you have any worries or queries.

How many BodyTite™ for Men treatments will I need?

How many BodyTite™ for Men procedures you require will depend on your own situation and goals. The great news is that results from BodyTite™ are permanent. In many cases, just one treatment may be enough for you to hit your goals. Again, expectations and likely outcome will be discussed with you during your no-obligation consultation.

Note that BodyTite™ for Men can also be combined with other body contouring treatments as part of the Body Sculpting for Men packages. It is important to adhere to the aftercare advice to ensure you get the best results from your treatment. Any questions or concerns please contact the clinic.

General Care:

Antibiotics are not routinely required.
Keep the steri-strip dressings on for the first day. There are no stitches as the wounds are very small. If the dressings fall off in the shower, you can leave them off but keep the area clean. The holes will have sealed by the first day. You can shower/wash straight away but wear your support garment straight after.
Wear your support garment for 2 weeks while in the house. Up to 4 weeks if you can! Experience has shown that the more you stick to this, the better the result. You do not need to wear it while you are sleeping but, if you can tolerate it, it will help.
If you need to, you can take routine painkillers (paracetamol but NOT IBUPROFEN or other Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory drugs) but this is rarely necessary.

The First Day and the Day After:

The area of treatment will be swollen, and you may notice swelling spreading down from the area beneath the support garment.
It is normal to feel very numb for a period of a few hours the first day.
Bruising will become more obvious once the anaesthetic wears off.
You will notice skin contraction in the area of treatment immediately and, if you have had fat removed, you will see a difference there on the first day.
On the ‘morning after’, you may well look worse than you imagined you would! Do not worry. You may look swollen, bruised, and may still feel numb. Treated areas will feel quite tender.

The First Week:

Swelling will reduce but will still be evident by the end of the first week. In some cases, the swelling can last for 6-8 weeks.
Bruising will appear then start to fade, but it can be present foe 2-3 weeks.
The ‘dense’ numbness of the first day will resolve but residual numbness will remain and may not recover for several weeks.
Contraction of the skin in the treated area will be obvious but will not appear as drastic as the very first day. The process of skin contraction will continue for over 6 months.
You may notice several small (1cm or so), firm lumps in the treated area. These are caused by the heating treatment and is an indication of future tissue contraction. Think of them as ‘spot welding’. The more you have, the better the result. They will all disappear in time over the ensuing 4-8 weeks.
The treated area may still feel quite tender, as time goes by this will get better, but some patients reported that the area is tender to touch for at least 6 weeks.

3 to 6 Months:

You may stop noticing any change, but it is happening! Slowly, over the passing months more collagen and elastin are being formed in the tissues which were heated during your treatment.
Massage the area during this time encouraging the contracting tissue to lift. ZO Skin Health FIRMING SERUM is great for this. You can find it listed on the website here.
The lumps should all be gone by the end of 3 months.
By 6 months, most of the contraction will have taken place but there have been reports of continuing contraction and continuing improvement, up to 18 months.

Are BodyTite™ Body Contouring results permanent?

Yes, the great results you get from BodyTite™ for Men procedures are there for good! However, your body may still store new fat in the same areas. If this happens, you may wish to consider a repeat BodyTite™ session in the future. Note that our practitioners will always advise you on how to maintain and optimise results from your treatment, so that you can enjoy them for as long as possible. A healthy lifestyle including exercise and a good diet can help prevent new fat deposits from forming.

What areas can BodyTite™ treat?

This body contouring procedure can treat a variety of areas including areas below the waist, thighs and knees, hips, upper arms, and bum.

How long does it take to heal from BodyTite™ for Men?

All BodyTite™ procedures are non-surgical and only minimally traumatic to your body. Therefore, downtime is relatively minimal and you can expect return to routine activities within a few days. However, it is expected that some bruising, soreness and swelling will be evident in the treated areas. This usually lasts for a few days. Your practitioner will advise you of appropriate aftercare, which can also be seen in the Aftercare tab on this page.

Is BodyTite™ painful?

During BodyTite™ procedures, your doctor applies a local anaesthetic to keep your treatment as comfortable as possible.

Is BodyTite™ for Men the same as liposuction?

No. BodyTite™ is a non-surgical, minimally invasive alternative to surgical liposuction. BodyTite™ Body Contouring uses innovative Radio Frequency (RF) technology to safely melt fat cells without affecting surrounding healthy tissue. There are no large incisions, sutures or any of the downtime associated with traditional liposuction procedures.
