Our Lip Filler procedures use premium hyaluronic acid fillers that are safe, effective and tailored specifically for the lips area. How do Lip Fillers work?

For our Lip Filler procedures, we use hyaluronic acid fillers from leading brands such as ReLife and Vivacy. All these products are of the highest quality and are specially suited for the lips area. The acid, a natural substance created from connective tissue, is injected with precision into specific points and is absorbed naturally by your skin. This process restores volume instantly and helps deliver an individualised natural appearance. The treatment is especially effective for balancing and evening out upper or lower lips.

The fillers we use incorporate advanced technology, that can deliver longer lasting results. How long do Lip Filler treatments take to work?

As with most fillers treatments, results from our Lip Filler procedures are instantly visible. It is normal for the lips to look a little swollen after treatment. Best results can be seen after around 1 week.

What is the downtime for Lip Fillers?

Downtime is minimal with Lip Filler treatments. You can return to normal activities right away. There is some risk of bruising, swelling and tenderness after treatment, which should clear in the following days. Also, hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in the body, meaning allergic reactions are rare.

Do Lip Filler treatments hurt?

Any discomfort is minimal. All our hyaluronic acid fillers contain an anaesthetic to ensure the treatment is painless when the filler is injected into the lip and we use the strongest available numbing cream.

How many Lip Filler procedures are required?

One Lip Filler treatment should be enough in the first instance and results are long-lasting. However, the effects are not permanent as the product is absorbed by the body. As with all fillers, repeat treatments will be necessary to maintain effects. We usually recommend having 1ml each treatment until you are happy with the shape and size, and then to have 0.5ml as a top up every now and then to maintain results. Please note that results vary between individuals, and factors such as lifestyle and genetic disposition can impact the duration of results.

We advice you come to your appointment wearing little or no makeup, as the treatment area will be thoroughly cleaned before treatment. We also advise that you arrive around 20-25 minutes before your appointment. This will allow for numbing time to ensure that you are ready for your treatment on time.

In order to maximise the treatment effect and to minimise the risk of side effects, please abide by the following:

Immediately after your treatment, avoid touching your lips and mouth area for at least six to eight hours.
To ease any pain or discomfort, you can take Paracetamol or use ice packs on the area.
Using Vaseline for the first week is a good idea to stop your lips from cracking or drying out.
Avoid sunbeds, lip waxing, saunas for the first week after treatment.
Staying hydrated, drinking plenty of water will help maximise the benefits of your treatment
If you have any bruising following your treatment, apply arnica cream (you can buy this in your local pharmacy.
In the first 24 hours avoid alcohol and spicy food.

Taking care of yourself after the procedure is crucial. By following the above you will enjoy your results for longer.

No, our Lip Filler treatments are non-surgical procedures, which use injectable filler to temporarily plump, define and reshape your lips. However, it is a medical procedure that MUST be performed by a trained and qualified doctor at all times!

Are results from Lip Filler procedures permanent?

No, Lip Filler treatments use hyaluronic acid filler, which is gradually and safely absorbed by the body. Results are temporary. They can last from between three to nine months, sometimes longer.

How long do results last from Lip Filler treatments?

Results from Lip Filler treatments can last from between three to nine months, sometimes even longer. Duration of outcomes depend on a patient’s physiology and the amount of hyaluronic acid filler that is used. It can also be affected by the choice of hyaluronic acid filler that is used during your procedure. Your doctor will discuss expected longevity of results with you during your no-obligation consultation.

Are Lip Filler treatments safe?

Yes, Lip Filler treatments are safe and involve no surgery. Side-effects are rare, and downtime is minimal, with some risk of bruising, swelling and tenderness after treatment. However, lips treatments with filler are a medical procedure, and ONLY a trained and qualified doctor should ever inject filler into your lips!
