Filler treatments are sometimes referred to as Collagen Replacement Therapy. Collagen is a natural structuring protein that is the main constituent of skin, bones, muscles and ligaments. Over time, our collagen cells reduce in number. This causes the skin to lose elasticity, allowing fine lines and wrinkles to develop.

Treatments with injectable Dermal Fillers temporarily stop and even reverse these signs of ageing. They comprise of Hyaluronic Acid, which is a natural substance found in your skin and connective tissue. After being injected into the troublesome area, the filler product is naturally broken down in your skin over time. Some fillers also encourage the production of new collagen cells, producing results that are 100% natural to your face.

There are several different types of Dermal Fillers available at the clinic, such as Voluma and Volux (both by Juvederm®), MaiLi, Perfectha®, Belotero® and many other reputable companies. The doctor will assess which ones best address your needs during your comprehensive, no-obligation consultation.

Results from Fillers are instant. Wrinkles are markedly and visibly reduced, and the elasticity and tone of the skin is naturally restored. You may experience some minor swelling and bruising around the points of injection, but in most cases, downtime is minimal, and you can return to work straight away. Treatments with hyaluronic acid Fillers are relatively painless. A few quick injections into the problem areas, giving the sensation of a minor pin-prick. And then it’s all over! Local anaesthetic is used to keep sessions as comfortable as possible.

Each Dermal Filler treatment is slightly different, in terms of density and is also area specific. Depending on the type of treatment provided, two or three sessions may initially be required.
