Skinpulse Super Rejuvenation (SSR) Laser Treatment emits high-energy pulses of light into the skin, which can treat and even reverse a number of concerns. These include:

The high energy light of SSR tackles “propionic bacteria” that causes the inflammation in acne. It also reduces the size of the sebaceous glands in your skin and regulates the amount of sebum (oil) those glands produce.

To explain in more detail, porphyrins (naturally occurring molecules in the inflamed acne) absorb light in the blue wavelength spectrum, which produces heat. This is known as a “photo-thermal process”. Chemical substances are released, which can selectively destroy the propioni bacteria. The result is clearer, trouble-free skin.

You should reap benefits immediately after each SSR session, although results are cumulative and repeat sessions will likely be required. You may experience warm or tingling sensations, or a fleeting “hot pinch” during treatment, but Skinpulse Super Rejuvenation is otherwise painless and relatively short.

Facial rejuvenation treatments are generally conducted as a course of six to eight sessions with approximately one to two weeks in between. The collagen continues to develop for eight to 12 weeks, so you will continue to see the effects over this time. The course can then be followed with a maintenance treatment after around once a month. Maintaining an appropriate skincare regimen at home is also required for optimising results. Pigmentation, age spots and rosacea all require a course of three treatments to treat the area. In most instances this will be enough, on occasions, you may need an extra single treatment.
