What is it?

How does it work?

Ultrasound Cavitation uses ultrasound technology to break up fat cells in targeted areas of the body. A special hand-held device (similar to the one pictured) is moved across your skin, which delivers ultrasound energy into the skin’s deeper layers. This is where troublesome fat is stored. Vibrations created by the waves of energy disrupt, dislodge and destroy the fat cells. These fat cells are then absorbed through your body’s lymphatic system and flushed out naturally. Note that these procedures are simple and pain-free.

A great added benefit of our Ultrasound Cavitation treatments is that your body’s immediate capacity to store further fat is diminished. Your body’s metabolism is also improved. A healthy lifestyle is recommended to maintain results. Sometimes Ultrasound Cavitation might be combined with other treatments for an optimal outcome.

How long does the treatment take to work?

The treatment begins to work immediately. On average, patients experience between 2-cm to 4-cm of fat loss in the targeted area just after the first treatment. However, Ultrasound Cavitation is usually undertaken as part of a longer course, and results are cumulative.

How many treatments are needed?

How many sessions of Ultrasound Cavitation you will need will depend on your own individual goals and concerns. On average, most patients can expect to have between six to eight sessions. Sometimes, we may combine Ultrasound Cavitation with other fat reduction treatments to enhance results. Note that maintaining a balanced lifestyle will also help you to optimise your outcome.

What is the downtime?

There is no downtime with Ultrasound Cavitation. It is a non-invasive procedure. You should be able to return to all normal activities immediately after treatment.

Does it hurt?

No, Ultrasound Cavitation is a pain-free procedure. You may hear a high-pitched noise that that is easily tolerable.
