No special preparation is required prior to thread lift treatments. Our doctor will discuss your individual concerns, goals, and expectations with you during your free consultation. As standard protocol, you will be asked to fill in a medical questionaire where you can make the doctor aware of any medications you are currently taking, and of any previous treatments.

Immediately post treatment

Apply cold compress if required.
Avoid make-up for 24 hours and when you start to apply make-up, please be careful and mindful of the threads.
Wash your face very carefully with water and mild cleansers and avoid face creams and lotions for 24 hours, other than the aftercare products recommended by the Doctor.
Avoid vigorous exercise, prolonged exposure to UV rays, temperatures below 0°C 3 days after the treatment.

Post procedure aftercare

Please be advised to:

Restrict facial movements (for 1-3 weeks)
Avoid hot drinks and hard foods that require a lot of chewing (hot drinks for 48 hours and hard foods for 1-3 weeks)
Sleep in an upright position, face up, to reduce swelling (3-7 nights)
Avoid strenuous exercise
Use SPF 30 when leaving the house to avoid post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (for 1-3 weeks)
Avoid dental appointments as well as facial appointments as facial and mouth movements should be restricted for 2-3 weeks.
Be aware that you can take Paracetamol for post procedure discomfort.
Avoid alcohol for 3-7 days post treatment
Avoid heat treatments including sauna and sun beds for 7 days
