What is Carboxytherapy?

Whether you want to reduce the appearance of scars, stretch marks or cellulite, or combat sagging skin, double chins and poor hair growth, our carboxytherapy sessions can give you the results you desire.

Carboxytherapy is a safe, natural and effective treatment for dealing with a wide range of concerns linked to poor blood circulation. By improving the flow of oxygen to problem areas, your skin will be revitalised and reconditioned, and elasticity will be improved.

If you have any of the following concerns, then our carboxytherapy procedures can help:

For fat reduction, this procedure is a less invasive alternative to surgeries such as liposuction. For stretch marks, it is the most effective treatment available – even better than laser surgery.

While carboxytherapy procedures have been around for many years, we use the latest and most advanced technology, assuring short pain-free sessions with outstanding results.

TREATMENT AT A GLANCE

How does Carboxytherapy work?

Regardless of the area you are having treated, the concept is much the same. It’s based on how our bodies use oxygen to function.

When we breathe in air, our blood cells supply oxygen to our body’s tissues while also expelling carbon dioxide. Unfortunately, as we age, less oxygen gets pumped round, which means our skin’s ability to repair itself slows down.

By injecting controlled blasts of carbon dioxide into problem parts, such as under your eyes, your brain is triggered into panicking. In response, the brain sends blood to the targeted area, instantly delivering nutrients and oxygen. New collagen production is triggered and over time skin becomes tauter, fresher and smoother.

Stretch marks and scars are dramatically reduced using this method. Lost contours can be restored to the face, achieving a total rejuvenation. Tired-looking eyes will be revived, and dark circles will disappear, replaced with a more natural colour.

For fat-related concerns including cellulite, carbon dioxide can also be injected into unwanted fat cells, causing them to expand, break and dissolve. This can help tone down areas such as the stomach, hips or thighs, and eliminate double chins. The process is completely safe and less invasive than surgeries such as liposuction.

Our top-of-the-range machine features a wide range of pre-sets for different issues, delivering the perfect amount of carbon dioxide to the specified region. You can achieve satisfactory outcomes with minimal side-effects.

Carboxytherapy is a versatile treatment, for which there are many benefits.

Can Carboxytherapy be used to help hair growth?

Yes, Carboxytherapy can also be used to help hair growth and even slow hair loss. When controlled blasts of carbon dioxide are directed into your scalp, blood circulation is instantly improved, delivering nutrients and oxygen to the area. This treatment can be especially effective when combined with other hair loss treatments, such as VieStem Hair with Regenera Activa.

How long do Carboxytherapy procedures last?

Carboxytherapy procedures can vary depending on which area is being treated, but they typically take between five to 30 minutes.

How long does Carboxytherapy take to work?

When starting on carboxytherapy, repeat treatments are usually required, and you’ll notice improvements after each session – until you reach your desired result.

What is the downtime for Carboxytherapy?

There is very little downtime between sessions, just the possibility of minor bruising or swelling at the point of injection. You should be able to return to your daily activities almost immediately. However, if you were being treated for cellulite or fat removal, we do advise that you avoid baths and activities such as swimming for the first 24 hours. A warm sensation in the region of treatment may also be experienced for up to 24 hours.

Otherwise, aesthetic carboxytherapy is a very safe treatment. No side-effects have been reported since the 1930s.

Does Carboxytherapy hurt?

A local anaesthetic is usually applied to the treated area to help reduce the discomfort of the injections. Some people report an itchy feeling as the gas is delivered to the tissues. In the case of stretch marks and scarring, you will most likely not feel a thing as scar tissue doesn’t have any nerves.

If you’re being treated for cellulite or having fat removed from other areas, then you may feel some slight pressure while the gas expands. But these sensations are not painful.

Ultimately, Carboxytherapy treatments are very safe and natural with minimal discomfort and side-effects.

How many Carboxytherapy treatments are needed?

Again, this varies depending on the part of the body you are having treated and what your desired result is. However, in all cases, repeat Carboxytherapy treatments will be required to reap the full benefits. On average, most patients have around four to six Carboxytherapy sessions, usually a couple of weeks apart.

Your needs, concerns and the number of treatments will be discussed with you during your thorough, no-obligation consultation.

Are there any cons with Carboxytherapy?

The only real con is perhaps the number of sessions that you may initially require to reach your goal. However, owing to the sophistication of the technology involved, sessions are short and effective.

We also offer interest free finance on treatments above £280 and on selected packages.

How long do Carboxytherapy results last?

Carboxytherapy is a versatile treatment that can be used to treat a variety of concerns, such as cellulite, localised fat, eye bags, and double chins. How long results last depends on your concern and specific needs. However, all Carboxytherapy results are temporary. You will need a course of sessions in the first instance, with the likelihood of future treatments in the future to maintain your desired outcome.

Is Carboxytherapy safe?

Overall, Carboxytherapy procedures are natural and extremely safe with minimal discomfort and risk of side-effects. There is a possibility of some light bruisingswelling or a general warm sensation at the area of injection. However, daily activities can be returned to almost immediately after the procedure. It is important to note that if larger areas are treated such as for cellulite or fat removal in the thighs, side-effects may last for a few more days but no known risks are associated with this treatment.

Can Carboxytherapy treat cellulite?

Yes, Carboxytherapy has shown to be an effective treatment for treating cellulite, as well as toning other areas of the body. The treatment causes unwanted fat cells to expand, break and dissolve.

How do Carboxytherapy sessions work?

In short, Carboxytherapy works by targeting medical gaseous Carbon Dioxide into the subcutaneous tissue beneath your skin through a needle. Aimed at specific areas, it can be used to deliver a number of benefits such as improving blood flow and skin elasticity, and destroying unwanted fat cells.

Dawn G, review from Google

So I had my 4th treatment of Carboxytherapy yesterday which has worked wonders for the dark circles under my eyes. Its a pain free treatment with no downtime (I went straight to work after) I also no longer need to use concealer either 🙂 I had tear trough treatment immediately after to get rid of the hollowness under my eyes and am so pleased with the results no swelling and not a bruise in sight. As always Dr Liakas and Vicky I cannot thankyou enough #Vie #happywiththeresults #happyeyes
