Hair loss is inevitable. On average, we lose around 50-100 hairs a day without even realising, through daily activities such as brushing and washing. Excessive hair loss, however, is another story. An increase in your usual hair loss can be caused by several factors, from hereditary conditions to something as simple as a lack of vitamins within your diet. Hair loss effects millions of people worldwide, so don’t worry you are not alone, and we are here to help you with our top tips and revolutionary treatments to put hair loss to a stop.

DNA TrichoTest

DNA TrichoTest™  is DNA testing specifically for hair loss concerns. The DNA TrichoTest analyses your genes in relation to your hair loss and vulnerability to hair loss. From the data produced, we can accurately identify which treatments will work best for you and help you create a personalised treatment plan accordingly. Completely non-invasive, our doctor takes a simple saliva swab from your mouth which is sent off to FAGRON Laboratories, where your gene variations are analysed. The results are then sent to our doctor, where during a consultation, he can recommend he best treatment forward based on your DNA test results.

VieStem Hair

VieStem Hair with Regenera Activa is a revolutionary treatment using your body’s own stem cells to promote hair re-growth. During your Regenera Activa treatment, the doctor takes a small piece of tissue from an area on your scalp where the hair is still dense and not affected by baldness. This is usually the area at the back of the head, closest to the neck. From this tissue sample, the doctor harvests regenerative stem cells, which are then mixed in a solution and carefully injected into your scalp where the thinning is occurring. Then, over the course of 12 months, the hair follicles that were previously nearing the end-phase of their life will be activated, and new hair follicles will start to form. Any previously dying follicles can once again become healthy, and over time, capable of producing denser and thicker hair as your hair cycle returns to normal.

Hairegen

Hairegen is a self-treatment tool for hair loss, thinning of hair and balding. Hairegen works in serveral ways to increase blood flow to the scalp, nourish the roots of your hair, and inhibit the biological activity of DHT, the chemical that causes male pattern baldness. It works by rolling the applicator back and forth over the affected region of the scalp. It stimulates dormant hair follicles, causing hair to regenerate, thicken and stop follicles from declining. When it is used correctly and frequently, the balding process is stopped fast. Your hair will noticeably change in appearance within a short period of time.

PRP Therapy

PRP Therapy is a regenerative treatment that uses your own blood to combat several concerns including hair loss. By injecting a Platelet-Rich-Plasma sample into your scalp, it is believed that any stem cells around your targeted hair follicles are kickstarted into action. The result is that new hair growth can be promoted, even with follicles that had previously been inactive.

Carboxytherapy

Carboxytherapy is a safe, natural and effective treatment for reversing issues linked to poor blood circulation. One of its benefits can include aiding hair growth and slowing hair loss. By injecting controlled blasts of carbon dioxide into your scalp, the brain is triggered into panicking. In response, blood is sent to the scalp, instantly delivering nutrients and oxygen, and improving circulation.

Are there any natural remedies that can help with hair loss?

Dr Ioannis Liakas (Medical Director at Vie Aesthetics) suggests having a blood test to ensure you are not lacking in any vitamins and if you are lacking in vitamins such as Vitamin D, Zinc and Vitamin B12, taking oral supplements or having vitamin injections and Vitamin Infusions via an IV Drip.

What things should you avoid to prevent hair loss/further hair loss?

Dr Liakas (Medical Director at Vie Aesthetics) suggests trying to avoid stress, smoking, and to aim at keeping a healthy balanced diet. Supplements help, but it is important to base these on actual data from blood results.

It is important to remember that everyone is unique and everyone may respond differently to each treatment. At Vie Aesthetics, we offer customised, tailored treatment plans specific to the individual client, to help target their areas of concern and allow them to achieve their specific goals.
