What is Microdermabrasion?

Improve your skin’s tone and texture, and fend off the effects of ageing with our advanced Microdermabrasion treatments.

This minimally invasive procedure gently exfoliates your skin, removes dead skill cells, and speeds up your skin’s renewal process, leaving you with a sparkling, refreshed appearance. Microdermabrasion is especially effective as part of an ongoing skin regimen.

Microdermabrasion can help you achieve the following:

  • Smoothing and refining the skin’s texture
  • Brightening dull skin
  • Reducing large and clogged pores
  • Combating pigmentation disorders such as sun damaged skin
  • Combating age spots
  • Preventing against fine lines and other effects of ageing
  • Reducing cellulite and stretch marks
  • Reduce acne scarring and preventing against acne breakouts

How does Microdermabrasion work?

As skin matures, its renewal cycle slows down. Less new cells are produced, and skin can appear tired, dull, and less smooth. Other factors can impact the quality of your skin’s tone and texture, such as pollution, weather, fast-living, diet, and too much sun exposure.

Microdermabrasion is a simple procedure. The outer layer of your skin is gently exfoliated by a special diamond-tipped wand (similar to the one pictured). This process works on two levels. First, it removes all the dirt and dead skin cells that have built-up on your skin’s surface. Secondly, it stimulates your skin’s renewal process, so that fresh, new skin cells are produced. Over time, you’re left with a refreshed, clearer, happier complexion.

In some ways, you can imagine the treatment being akin to having your skin polished!

How long does the treatment take to work?

You will enjoy a healthy glow straight after your Microdermabrasion treatment. Your skin will look and feel noticeably refreshed and smoother. However, results will continue to improve the more Microdermabrasion sessions you have.

How many Microdermabrasion treatments are needed?

Microdermabrasion can be enjoyed as a single session or you may be recommended a course if you are treating particular skin concerns. Your practitioner will advise you on this during your consultation.

Note that during this comprehensive, no-obligation consultation, the practitioner will always help you to create the perfect skincare regimen tailored especially for you. This will be continually reviewed as your needs and situation changes.

What is the downtime?

Flushed redness will occur following the session. This normally subsides after a few hours but may take longer for more sensitive skins, for up to 24 hours.

Does Microdermabrasion hurt?

Although the procedure itself is abrasive, procedures are pain-free. Some patients even remark that it can feel quite relaxing! The skin can feel warm and flushed immediately after a Microdermabrasion treatment.

We also offer interest free finance on treatments above £280 and on selected packages.
