we wanted to check in with you and wish you all the best for the Easter Weekend. We hope you’re keeping well and staying positive.
Although our clinics are closed for face-to-face procedures, we have, nevertheless, been busy remotely via video-calls, phone enquiries and check-ins, social media, and via emails. Whether doing consultations and reviews, answering queries, e-mailing guidance and protocols, taking bookings for May onwards, taking orders, or packaging and posting products, it gives us great joy to stay in touch and to able to help.
Our team have been quite creative too. This is through filming info clips, writing blogs, creating social media posts, and researching the market to source scarce skin care products, hand sanitisers, masks, and protective gear.
Here, I wanted to share some of our news and projects. Have a look and feel free to contact us if you need more information or wish to order any products.
So, till next time. Wishing you all Happy Easter. Stay safe and enjoy the glorious weather!

With the Party season on the horizon you may be thinking about how to make sure you look and feel your best for the festive period. For this reason, our team have put not 1, but 3 of our star body treatments on a buy-one-area-get-another-area-half price Offer:
VieCryo- Fat Freezing/Cool Sculpting
Super Hair Removal (SHR)
1. VieCryo is an excellent treatment for men and women to target pockets of fat and to sculpt and shape different areas of the body. The method is based on the idea that cold can target fat cells that will die in a natural way and dissolve over a course of weeks without damaging the skin or the surrounding tissue. Areas we treat are: Chest, Flank (Love Handles) Abdomen, Inner Thighs, Arms, Upper Back,Lower Back, Gluteal Fold (for BumLift). To read more about the treatment:click here
2. HIFU- (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) for Slimming, Toning, Lifting, Skin Tightening is very popular in the field of cosmetic procedures for great results- without the need for surgery. Our clients love their slimming and contouring results, by this non-invasive method which is using focused ultrasound pulses to rupture fat cells for Lipolysis and skin tightening. Amazingly, during skin and neck treatment sessions, the patient’s skin becomes more firm and youthful as new collagen grows. In addition, after a single procedure, the patient’s skin will continually improve as new collagen is generated. A great advantage of the procedure is the fact that you will achieve optimal cosmetic results with only one treatment session. Body Areas we treat are: Neck, Upper arms (Bingowings) Chest, Flank (Love Handles) Abdomen, Legs, Inner Thighs, Knees, Arms, Upper Back, Lower Back, Gluteal Fold (for BumLift). 3. The SHR Skin Pulse Hair Removal is suitable for both men and women, all skin types and hair colours (except white), and the results are long lasting. You’ll also love the fact that the treatment is fairly painless and there is no recovery time needed. SHR delivers low energy light via rapid “pulses” to gently, effectively and efficiently traumatise the hair stem cells thus preventing re-growth. The direct to target delivery of SHR requires a comparatively low terminal temperature to be clinically effective, with little or no trauma to surrounding tissue, offering fairly pain free and safer treatments. Body Areas we treat with SHR Laser Hair Removal are: Arms, Back, Cheeks, Chest, Intimates/Bikini line, Legs, Underarms. To read more about the treatment:click here
Vie’s MacMillan Grand Coffee Morning returns, raising money for a special cause. Games, cake, chat and a bake-off contest heading to our Rayleigh clinic on Monday, 30 September. Come join us!
On Monday 30 September is a bit of a special date for us – and hopefully it will be for you, too. We’re delighted to be hosting our very own Grand Coffee Morning at our flagship Rayleigh clinic, which will feature a day of cake, coffee and chat, as well as a games, demos and prizes – all in the name of raising money for a very important cause.
The event is part of MacMillan Cancer Support’s “World’s Biggest Coffee Morning”, a campaign that MacMillan created way back in 1990. Since then, during every September, people all across the nation host their own coffee-guzzling mornings, with proceeds going towards providing support for people affected by cancer.
This year will be our first one staged in Rayleigh. And we can’t wait. For this year’s occasion, we are introducing a “Bake It or Fake It” bake-off competition, in which you are invited to bring a cake to be judged by our panel in return for prizes. In addition, you will also be able to indulge yourself with hot and soft drinks, chat, games, more cake, treatment demos, goody bags tombola, express facials, clinic offers, oh, and more PRIZES, too.
Sounds good, right?
At Vie Aesthetics, charity has always been very important to us, and we hold MacMillan very
dear to our heart. They are one of the biggest charities in the UK – and rightly so, they do
fantastic work, providing guidance, information and financial support to anyone whose life
has been impacted by cancer. So please come and join us on Monday 30th September to raise a cuppa in the name of this wonderful organisation.
As much as I’m very proud of what we’ve achieved at Vie Aesthetics, it’s not often I sing our praises out loud. I prefer to let our work do the talking – and then hopefully, our clients will do the same. However, I can honestly say that events of the last couple of weeks have left me wanting to shout with joy.
I was surprised and very honoured to have been nominated for “Entrepreneur of the Year” at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards, but even more delighted to see our Medical Director Dr Ioannis Liakas last Saturday, 6 July, being awarded the accolade of Highly Commended for “Aesthetic Doctor of the Year” at the Safety in Beauty Diamond Awards 2019.
The event was a glitzy affair in London’s Hilton, amazingly organised by the founder of the Safety in Beauty Campaign, Antonia Mariconda, and her team for a fifth year. It was third time lucky for us , as we had been already finalists for “Aesthetics Medical Clinic of the Year” in 2017 and 2018.
At Vie Aesthetics, we all know Dr Liakas for the exceptional medical practitioner and mentor he is- a real asset for the field of Aesthetic medicine and for our company. He uses the most advanced techniques with excellence and total commitment to patient safety, in a very caring and friendly manner. We feel really blessed to have him at Vie and I m sure you will join me, alongside our whole team, in congratulating him!
On the night, a delighted Dr Liakas said, “Words can’t express how honoured I feel to have been nominated for this award and to find myself as one of the UK 11 finalists, among highly esteemed colleagues. To receive Highly Commended is amazing and great news for the whole team and our clients. At Vie Aesthetics, we pride ourselves in bringing the latest aesthetic treatments to the UK, with a total commitment to patient safety.”
This recognition is, from a personal perspective, heartening and exciting. But from a wider perspective, I think the reward runs deeper. I see it as some kind of justification for the vision that we set ourselves – that is to provide the highest quality service with a focus on ethics, safety and excellent customer care.
When Dr Liakas and I launched Vie Aesthetics in 2013, the UK beauty and aesthetics industry was alarmingly unregulated. That meant procedures can be performed by largely untrained staff, with an insufficient level of expertise. This is a world too in which customers could also find themselves flooded with mis-representation, ageism, and unrealistic images and messages, leading to heightened insecurities, unfair expectations and potentially ill-advised choices. Our goal was to not only create a financially successful business, and introduce innovative treatments, but to also challenge those industry flaws.
From the beginning, I introduced a strict code of practice. All our aesthetic procedures are performed by highly qualified doctors. All our treatments include free consultation, preparation and thorough aftercare. We use only top-of-the-range products, while providing them at reasonable prices. Finally, we created a new concept of space and multi-sensory experience for our clients.
These are values we’ve never swayed from. We also take social responsibility and
sustainability seriously (we have gone paperless, for example), and we sponsor and promote
charities that raise awareness on autism, bullying, diversity and cancer research. Over the last six-plus years we are delighted to have seen our profile rise and our clientele grow, resulting in steady expansion.
In November 2018, we opened our three-storey flagship clinic in Rayleigh, Essex, and we now see clients in three clinics in the UK, including one in London’s Harley Street, and two affiliated clinics in Europe. I am very proud with what we have accomplished on our journey so far, and that we’ve been able to deliver on our promises and vision. But even more so, I would like to thank all those who nominated and voted for us. I feel blessed to have such an amazing, hard-working and caring team of professionals in our Vie family.
Of course, the awards and nominations are lovely and hugely humbling and satisfying, and it remains to be seen what happens with my Entrepreneur of the Year nomination, but I guess they still can’t account for what truly matters – total client satisfaction, pride in our work and our amazing and vibrant team.
Here’s to many more successful years of safe, ethical and innovative practice at Vie (and maybe a few more award nominations, too…ahem).
Hair loss affects millions of people across the world, in both men and women. In many cases, such conditions dent self-confidence and cause enormous psychological stress that negatively impacts our lives.
Did you know that according to a recent survey
four in ten women in the UK say they experienced loss or thinning of their hair
5 in 10 women aged 25 and over believe that hormonal changes like pregnancy and menopause contribute to their hair thinning
6 in 10 women feel that the condition of their hair affects their confidence
3 in 10 women feel that hair loss had an impact o their identity approximately
Hair loss can strike at a range of ages, not just from middle-age, and there are several different types of hair loss too, most commonly androgenic alopecia, better known as male pattern baldness and female pattern baldness. For men, this is usually caused by genetics and is linked to the production of DHT and testosterone. It’s typically characterised by recession at the temples (widow’s peak) and thinning at the crown.
The extent and shape of male pattern baldness can be identified on something as the Norwood Scale (insert diagram).
For women, androgenic alopecia usually manifests itself as overall thinning of the hair and loss of volume. You might notice a widening part on your head. The ailment can be down to genetics, hormonal changes or illness.
The truth is that there are many causes, and either way all hair loss conditions are complicated and trying to combat them can be a minefield.
Do you suffer from hair loss?
If you suffer from hair loss, we know how damaging that can be. But the fact is you’re far from alone. And there are things that can be done to halt and even reverse the process.
One of the biggest issues with hair loss are the number of potions and treatments on the market – or in development – all promising a miracle cure. In reality, the only medications currently approved in the UK for combating the condition are the topical solution minoxidil (Rogaine is one popular brand) and the oral drug finasteride (often known by the brand name Propecia). Some people have reported a slowing down – and even a reversal – of their hair loss with these medications, and they can sometimes be even more effective when combined. That said, results vary greatly between individuals. Continued use of the drugs is also imperative in order to maintain their benefits. And even then, long-term results aren’t guaranteed. There is also the risk of side-effects too, such as sexual dysfunction.
Surgical hair transplants are another popular and effective solution. While invasive, the quality of these procedures has improved dramatically in recent years and the results are permanent. However, despite some great results, transplants don’t yield the same hair density that you may once have had, meaning you need to manage your expectations. Furthermore, transplants don’t account for future hair loss meaning that operations can be a lifetime commitment. And that can get pricey.
But are there any other options or exciting answers in fighting this age-old mystery? The answer is YES! At Vie Aesthetics, we offer Stem Cell Micro Transplantation with Regenera Activa.
Stem Cell Micro Transplantation is arguably the most exciting new treatment to enter the market. It uses your body’s own tissue to improve hair density and trigger new growth on your scalp where you are thinning. The procedure is described as “regenerative” and “autologous”. By that, we mean it uses your body’s own resources – in this case stem cells from your own hair – to thicken and grow new hair.
The treatment is suitable for both, men and women, and can be used to help male and female pattern baldness. It is also recommended for patients who already have had hair transplant procedures, and who are taking hair loss medications such as finasteride and minoxidil. In fact, stem cell therapy procedures can complement these other preventative measures to great effect.
We believe the Stem Cell Micro Transplantation is the future in treating hair thinning and hair loss.
Using technology developed by the Spanish company Regenera Activa, it has already been successful in countries such as Singapore.
Vie Aesthetics is the first clinic in the UK to introduce this breakthrough for hair loss – and the results have been extremely encouraging.
If hair loss troubles you, Stem Cell Micro Hair Transplants are something for you to consider as both an alternative, or complementary action, to the other treatments mentioned above. It is recommended for you if you’re suffering from early, mild and moderate forms of hair loss.
So how does it work?
The doctor takes a small piece of tissue from an area on your scalp where the hair is still dense and not affected by baldness. This is usually the area at the back of the head, closest to the neck. A local anaesthetic is injected prior to the procedure and the process is quick and relatively pain-free.
From this tissue sample, the doctor harvests regenerative stem cells from your own hair, which are then mixed in a solution and skilfully injected into your scalp where the thinning is occurring. Approximately 800,000 stem cells are injected in each session.
This activates follicles that are nearing the end-phase of their life (known as miniaturised hairs, which are the small, fine hairs you see – or don’t see! – in cases of thinning). The follicles can once again become healthy, and over time, capable of producing denser, thicker and stronger hair. The process also implants follicles for the growth of new hair.
Numerous clinical studies have shown improvements in hair count and scalp coverage after just one month. Indeed, since we introduced the treatment, clients have experienced healthier hair in the same period.
What is the down time?
Unlike hair transplants, stem cell therapy for hair loss has zero downtime and you can return to your daily activities straight away. There are no large grafts taken from the back of your head and no stitches. The technique is a one-off-session, and is safe and completely natural. In fact, treatments only last approximately 30 minutes, sometimes even less.
The whole process promotes the growth of new hair follicles and the first results can be observed within four to six weeks with new hair growth appearing between three to seven months. As with surgical hair transplants, and such is the way with the human hair cycle, any new hairs then mature and thicken in the months after that.
However, the results are long-lasting and the procedure can be repeated every two to six years depending on your own needs.

“Like a new man!” This was the message under the pictures sent in by our client, the talented artist, author and actor Chris Wild.
And we were very happy to see the transformation- the pictures speak for themselves! It was just a few month ago when Chris -having just finished his new book “Damaged” – made an appointment to see our Medical Director, Dr Ioannis Liakas, because he felt he needed a boost to his confidence ahead of his book launch and promo tour. A couple of months down the line and after having had his treatments with us, Chris just posted the above pictures on his social media saying: “Early this year I was stressed and tired, I looked and felt like s•••. Then I went to see Doctor Ioannis Liakas at Vie Aesthetics and changed my life around. It’s a tough market for everyone and you have to look your best. #livelife#lovelife#confidence”
And Chris is not alone. At Vie Aesthetics we are used to seeing a constant increase in numbers of professional male clients visiting our doctors and skin specialists for advice and non-surgical treatments to take away the tired look and signs of ageing.
It is no secret that aesthetic procedures have traditionally been a female monopoly and historically any aesthetic intervention on a male face and body up until recently may not have been considered a particularly “masculine” activity. However, for the millennial generation of men, who enter the 3rd decade of their lives, as the notions of masculinity are evolving , the macho prototype is changing too.
Dr Liakas, the Medical Director at Vie Aesthetics, sees a trend of men now more than ever before seeking medical aesthetic procedures in order to look fresher, less tired and a better version of themselves. He explains that “the male millennial generation are not fearful of showing emotions, sensitivity, vulnerability and indeed they place more emphasis on their looks too. Inevitably, this trend is catching up with older male generations, i.e. the millennials’ fathers too!”
At Vie Aesthetics, we cater for our male clients by offering a wide range of medical aesthetic procedures to help different age groups achieve their goals; from treating tiredness under the eyes, to lines reduction on their forehead, soft facial lifting, body treatments to help them lose fat and to firm up the abdomen, biceps and pecs; and this with instant results and without surgery and with no pain.
But his does not end with the menu of treatments on offer. At Vie Aesthetics we are very conscious of the fact that we do not want our environment to convey an overwhelmingly feminine feel. We aim at creating an atmosphere that reflects our approach to aesthetic procedures and services; it is entirely discreet, it is catering for both sexes and for all ages, and in sync with the needs of the modern professional person.
In terms of providing optimal outcomes for our male clients, namely results that are instant, natural looking and long lasting, we believe that combination therapies are the way forward.
By creating tailor-made treatment plans and by combining injectables, threads, Fusion Plasma, Stem Cell therapy and so many more, we achieve stunning results with minimal down time to fit in with the busy lives of our clients. The high standard of expertise of our specialists is paired with only top-of -the-range and cutting edge procedures, devices and products.
We have seen our male clientele rise by at least 50% in the last 2 years, and with our stem cell hair transplant and the Endopeel body lift we now offer an even greater range of non-surgical solutions with stunning results for men as well.
If you are looking to get a sharper, fresher look and boost your confidence, then we are looking forward to welcoming you at our premises. We will make sure to help you achieve your goals, but also feel looked-after and relaxed throughout the whole process.
